It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my father, Robert Harry Chervenie, born on March 27, 1945 and moved on from this world on May 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Suffolk County NY then living all up and down the east coast until ending up in NC. He was a proud US Army vet having served in Vietnam. After coming home he worked for Long Island Railroad for 27 years, working his way up from fireman to yard boss.
His love for restoring classic cars and fishing had him traveling all over the country making friends everywhere he went. He will forever be remembered for always helping others and his witty sense of humor.
He is survived by his son Todd, daughter-in-law Tamara, granddaughter Kaley, great-granddaughter Skye, and 2 sisters, Patricia Bird and Barbara Brown, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
There will be a celebration of life in the near future. Details will be shared at a later date.
