

Robert Earl Clark, 91, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born September 26, 1924, in Hennepin County, MN, he was the son of the late Irl Dow Clark and Alma Florence Olson Clark. Robert was a chemical engineer specializing in the pressure sensitive tape industry. From 1960n until 1973, he worked at what is now Shurtape. He was a charter member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and was a member of the US Army Air Corp during World War II and US Air Force during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Edward Clark and a grandson, Jason Chrisawn.
He is survived by this wife of 66 years, Juanita Peugh Clark of the home; daughters, Karen Nutter and husband, Jeff, of Vestavia Hills, AL and Kathi Baucom and husband, Steve, of Concord, NC; sons, Paul Clark of Weaverville, NC and Brian Clark and wife, Catherine, of Oro Valley, AZ; grandchildren, Kris Baucom, Shana Bourhill and husband, David, Robert G. Clark, John S. Clark, Katie Perez and husband, Adrian, Jason Nutter and wife, Diane, and Chris Nutter; great-grandchildren, Haley Bourhill, Ethan Bourhill, Parker Bourhill, Gavin Bourhill, Aiden Bourhill and Rhett Nutter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 3730 North Center Street in Hickory with Rev. Dr. James Bernhardt officiating. A visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
