Mr. Roger Lee Cook of Hildebran, NC passed away at Burke Hospice and Pallative Care on December 20, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Smith Cook of the home, sons; David Bumgarner and wife Brenda of Stony Point, NC and Kenneth Bumgarner and wife Donna of Hildebran, NC. Daughters; Traci Cook Lenhar and husband Noah Jay of Glen Allen, Va., Jane Cook Strand and husband William of Jacksonville, NC; Linda Bumgarner White and husband Joe of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brenda B. Holman and husband Richard of Taylorsville, NC. One sister, Betty Cook Martin of Hildebran also survives. Two nephews, one niece, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survives Mr. Cook. Visitation will be at United Methodist Church in Hildebran, NC on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 am with funeral services to follow at 11:00. The Rev. Tony Bowman will be officiating. Burial will follow the services at Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, NC. Catawba Funeral Home has the honor of caring for the family of Mr. Cook.
