Roger Dale McCall

Roger Dale McCall, 72, of Hickory, NC, passed away May 15, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory. He was born on August 30, 1942 in Catawba County to the late Jonas Durant McCall and Dorothy Marlow McCall. Roger had worked for many years for Foothills Body Shop in Hickory and he enjoyed fishing and working on his El Camino muscle car.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Garrett Locklear McCall.

Roger is survived by three sons, Roger Dale McCall Jr. of Connelly Springs, NC, Russell Paul McCall of Hickory, NC, and William Durant McCall and wife Janet of Hickory, NC; daughter, Faye M. Jones and husband Marty of Connelly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan McCall and wife, Brittany, Amber Henson, Derek McCall and wife, Kellie, Tyler McCall, Joe Jones, and Ashley Jones; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Ayden, Eli, Adrianna, Christian, Ethan, Trenden, Paxten, Hayden, Venna, Samantha, Tristyn, Haylei, and Gavin; and his special dog, Jug.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following service.
