Rosa Lea (Hatley) Owens

Born on April 5, 1958 in Johnson County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Dale and Lillian Ruth Payne Hatley.

Along with her parents, her husband Ronnie Owens; her daughter Lisa Owens; son, Ricky Owens; sister Elizabeth Dellinger, and brothers Mark Hatley and Edward Hatley preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Starnes and husband Shannon of Taylorsville, Monica Helton and husband Daniel of Catawba; son, Ronnie Eric Owens of the home; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters Jannet Presnell and husband Randel of Vilas and Rebecca Rinck of Hickory; brothers Larry Hatley of Hickory, Jerry Hatley of Hickory, Gary Hatley and wife Martha of Taylorsville and Ray Hatley and wife Norma of Vilas. Three children she loved as her own Tiffany Boston, Misty Coone, and Brittany Downs, a number of nieces and nephews also survive her.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ryan Grindstaff, Steve Parham, Shannon Starnes, Daniel Helton, Brian Younce and Jerry Hatley. Honorary pallbearers, Billy Owens and Junior Owens.
