Rosa Lee Miller Reep

LENOIR— Rosa Miller Reep, 91 of Lenoir, passed away at Caldwell Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 20, 2018 after a brief illness. Born Rosa Lee Miller in Johnson City, TN, on July 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John Quincy and Mary Anne Bentley Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Estil Day, her husband of 8 years Jesse L. Hicks, her husband of 5 years Jay Reep; sisters Pearl Norwood, Ida Bryant, and Nellie Norwood; brothers Frank Miller and henry Miller and sons-in-law William Peek and Paul Sloop. She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Peek of Lenoir, and Helen Sloop of Hickory; a son George Day of Hickory; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Jody York officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
