ROSIE RITCH COOK CATAWBA – Rosie Ritch Cook, 93 of Catawba passed away on August 6, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on January 2, 1923 in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Etley and Viola Pritchard Ritch. Rosie enjoyed lap quilting, collecting dolls, gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Claude Cook and sister, Ruth Cook. Survivors include her children, Claude Cook and wife Judy of Claremont, Cecil Cook and wife Margaret of Catawba, Ruth Cook of Greenville, SC, Billie Price and husband Jerry of Newton, Brenda Pritchard and husband Don of Newton; eleven grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1PM at East View Cemetery in Newton. Burial will follow. Condolences may be left at www.catawbamemorialpark.com.
