Roy Talmadge Barrington

Hickory - Roy Talmadge Barrington, 93 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, at Kingston Residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 23rd, 1932, in Richmond County, NC, Roy was the son of the late Alroy Vance and Ola Mae Smith Barrington.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 73 years, Lucille Dawkins Barrington; his 2 daughters, Dianne and husband, Terry and Dana and husband, Gary; his son, Roy, Jr and wife Irma; his 2 granddaughters, Beth and husband, Michael and Maggie and husband, Matthew; his 3 great grandchildren, Acadia, Tanner and Reagan.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be scheduled at a later date at Catawba Memorial Park.

In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity in Roy’s name.
