I worked with Fran at Shurtape for close to five years. She worked diligently and never called in sick until this past year. Daily she would want an update on my fur babies asking for the latest pictures. She visited me at Christmas and brought a ton of toys for my fur babies. Even the shiest one came out to see her. We both love country music and had made plans to go to Keith Urban’s concert this summer but were unable to go due to her illness. I miss my friend and was planning to see more of her during her retirement. I am so sorry for her family’s loss. She was a sweetheart and will be missed.

I worked with Fran for 40 years at Shurtape and was very much looking forward to spending some time in retirement with her. I am truly sad that will not be possible now, but I am glad to know she is at peace and no longer struggling with illness. We shared many memories and a lot of laughs! (I heard a lot of Fur Face stories!) Fran was a very witty and intelligent person, and I will truly miss her. I know she cared deeply for her family and I hope you will find comfort in the good times you shared.

I am so heartbroken to hear this. I was Fran’s hairdresser, and friend. My prayers are with all of the family and she will be deeply missed by myself and all of us at Studio D.K. Fran meant a lot to me and we shared so many things on Thursday’s at 6:15 from her love for animals to what our plans were to eat that night.
