Ruby Brown Weaver, 83, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born on October 12, 1935 to the late Lonnie Brown and Mary Denton Brown in Burke County. Ruby was a life-long member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Charles Weaver; son, Rick Weaver; brothers, Glover Williams and Wilson Brown and sister, Geneva Harrow. Survivors include her son, Larry Weaver of Hickory; grandson, Miki Weaver and wife Kristi of Hickory; great granddaughters, Dixi Rae Weaver and Kenzi Mae Weaver, her pride and joy; sisters, Cloey Aultman of Charleston, SC and Ellen Bolick of Asheville; brother, Grady Brown and wife Gladys of Maiden; daughter-in-law, Cindy Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2: 00 p.m.. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. at the church. Rev. Doug Price will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1962, Morganton, NC 28655.

It's hard to believe you are gone but your memory certainly lives on ... I wish for more time to spend with you but God had other plans. I will always remember you as the vivacious, loving, kind, caring and beautiful woman you were to me and all of our family. Thank you, Lord for blessing our family with such a wonderful soul. Many others ~ Larry, Miki, Kristi, your precious grandbabies Dixie Rae and Kenzi Mae, all of those blessed to be touched by your love ~ our family, live on celebrating your life, your loving legacy. Until we meet again spread love in Heaven and we'll take care of it here on Earth! I love you, Aunt Ruby! You are greatly missed and deeply loved.
