Sanford was born November 10, 1948 in Catawba Co. to the late Paul and Nina Campbell Hollar.
He was employed with Hancock and Moore Furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Bolick Hollar of the home; daughter, Shannon Hollar Bolick and husband, Todd, of Hudson; sons, Donald “Donnie” Hollar and wife, Jennifer Nicole, of Hiddenite and Stephen Cort Franklin Hollar and wife, Julia, of Hickory, seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Huffman and husband, Charles, of Conover

Memorial service Friday, December 28, at 4:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Crouse officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
