Sharon was born in Catawba County on October 26th, 1955 to Mr. Maura Lee and Mrs. Betty Jane Beard. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael D. Fredell, a daughter, Jessica Lee Jordan and husband Michael, a son, Wesley Thomas Fredell and wife Debbie, and their two children, Tucker James and Gabrielle Elizabeth. She is also survived by her brother Mark Alan Beard of Charlotte.
Sharon graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1974 and attended Western Piedmont Community College where she was trained as a dental assistant. She married her husband in 1976 and settled in Conover where she had her two children. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Pine Mountain Estates in Connelly Springs and has remained there ever since. Over the years she worked as an oral surgeon assistant as well as a chiropractic assistant. Most recently she was serving as office administrator in the family business.
Sharon’s first devotion was and remained to the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ was the center of all things in life for her, whether raising and home-schooling her children, managing her home, or serving in the many ministries she and her husband began and nurtured. For many years they led Fresh Fire Ministries in Longview where they preached the gospel of Jesus Christ and aided many families in the community. Most recently, she was meeting weekly with the ladies in Burke Correctional Institute where she taught them the bible and witnessed to the life-transforming power of the gospel. She loved working with and serving people and received endless compliments on her ability to lighten someone’s load and bring a smile to their face. Her boundless optimism was contagious and she always left you knowing that there was hope in any circumstances with which you might be dealing. Her free time was devoted to her grandchildren where she sought to instill in them the same godly values she imparted to her children. She dearly loved her grandchildren.
