He was born on July 24, 1950 to the late George L. Loggins and Katie Moore Loggins in Catawba County. Steve was a proud United States Marine Corp and Army Airborne Ranger Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He received numerous awards and citations including two bronze stars, one with valor, and the Purple Heart.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Diann L. Teague, Joann L. Packwood, Vickie Loggins; and brothers, Rickey Loggins and Mikey Loggins.
Survivors include his wife Linda D. Loggins of the home; daughter, Angela Loggins Frisbee and husband Eric of Maggie Valley; grandchildren, Jessica Ohar of Hickory, Andrew Capo of Morganton, Jordon Frisbee of Bakersville, Seth Frisbee of Maggie Valley, Erica Frisbee Altamirano of Charlotte; sisters, Joyce Loggins of Hildebran, Billie L. Tyler of Pembroke, GA; brothers, JR Loggins of Hickory, Harold Loggins of Baltimore, MD, Joe Loggins of Bethlehem, Bob Loggins of Mt. View; numerous sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the family residence.
