She was born the daughter of Richard Watkins and Shirley Watkins in Davidson County.
Susan is survived by her three children; three grandchildren; her mother and father; one sister; three brothers; four nephews; and three nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 1292 Cape Hickory Rd, Hickory, NC 28601.
