So sorry to hear of Rene's passing. I know she was a fighter. I went to school with Rene at Dudley Shoals and Granite Falls High and enjoyed being around her. She had a contagious laugh! My mother, Betty Reid, sends her condolences as well. Betty went to high school with Polly McRary and treasures the memories of Polly and watching Rene grow up. We really enjoyed the pictures and videos that were shared online. May God keep you in His loving arms during your sadness.
With sincere sympathy,
Shirley (Reid) Estes and Betty B. Reid

Rene was always a breathe of fresh air. She would come by the store & we would have a good visit. We would laugh & talk about everything. The last visit was in January. She stopped by after having a doctors appt. She never complained .. always being her funny self. She & her beloved Theia were at the Charolais in February while we were there for our anniversary. It was so good to see her again .. I did not think that was going to be the last. Love you Rene. 💖💖

Rene was a wonderful soul. She will be missed so very much by her family and friends. It's hard to let go of the people who have blessed you in so many ways. Rene was a strong , loving, out-going lady who had the most beautiful smile that I will never forget. She could make you happy when you were not feeling happy! Rest in peace Rene because your life will shine on forever. Thank you God for sharing this amazing person with all of us who knew her. We have been truly blessed!

I will never forget seeing you when we used to visit Grandma and Grandpa Mcrary's house when we were all much younger. You were always happy and smiling and so sweet to me and I will never forget that, I know for sure that you are with Larry, Polly, Leo right now and you are all rejoicing and walking with Jesus. I love you my sweet cousin and I will see you again one day.

Rene was one of a few influential folks from my time with Kmart that had a strong impact on my life. She was tough and stood by her guns when the going got rough. There was no backing down from a challenge with Rene, but yet she always found time to help guide those around her. To be even half as determined as she was would be a great accomplishment...she will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Rene a couple of times at Kmart and also Driveline. She was a very special woman, hard working and full of life. I admired her so much and respected her dedication to everything and everyone. She was a warrior for sure and inspired a lot of people throughout her life. My sincere condolences to her daughter and all who loved her. She was a remarkable woman.

Rene taught me to be tough. She knew best because she was so tough. Thank you for all of the bowls of B.L.T dip you made me. Yours was the best! You are loved and will be missed.

I have known Rene' for many, many years. We meet through our work at Kmart when we were young and free. My best memories of her were all our get togethers with all the young Kmart crowd. Rene' had an infectious laugh that you couldn't help but join in. She was always smiling and happy. After leaving Kmart we would see each other in various places still laughing and recounting those great memories. Somehow now I know Rene' is healed, laughing and smiling, reunited with Larry and have the perfect peace we all pray for ourselves someday. My prayers go out to her daughter and family. She fought the good fight and she now is healed. God speed Rene'.

Rene was a strong woman all the years we had her at Kmart in conover. Beautiful inside and out their were several ladies that she was close to. But never disrespected anybody. Her daughter Theia was her world and her best friend I’m very sad for her. RIP Rene
