

Terrance Lewis “TW” Wittcop, 67, of Hickory, died peacefully, on June 23, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born April 25, 1950 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Lewis John Wittcop and Edith Webb Wittcop. TW served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and retired as an electrician and was a member of IBW Local 379.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian James Wales; brother, Clesson Wright; and sister, Cheryl Feuersanger.
TW is survived by his wife of 11 years, Judy C Wittcop; sons, Lewis James Wittcop and wife Melinda of Hickory and Shawn Robert Wales and fiancée Tia; grandchildren, Ashley Velazquez, Katlyn Wittcop, Caleb Wittcop, Haiden Wales, Paitin Wales and Mikah Setzer; brothers, Roger Wittcop and wife Carol of Lockport, NY and Brian Wittcop and wife Sara of Gasport, NY; sisters, Norma Sturtevant and husband Steven of Lockport, NY, Elizabeth Seib and husband John of Newfane, NY, Laura Worth and husband John of Medina, NY, Denise Caton of Gasport, NY and Rosann Heitzenrater and husband Joseph of Somerset, NY; and dear friends, Shari and Armand Velazguez.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of TW’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Sandy Ridge Wesleyan Church in Hickory with Pastor Scott Howard officiating. Military rites will follow the service.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
