Tom was my brother in law... The BEST anyone could ever want. He still makes me laugh when i look at cereal boxes. We had a saying "give it to Tom, he'll eat anything" just like "MIKEY" remember? He'd eat stale anything. He easily laughed, he was kind and quiet, he was very intelligent, he was loving, and especially patient... He just rolled thru life, and loved anything to do with fire houses (he was a volunteer) in earlier life. He loved all animals, and my fur bb's loved him. He was the best hugger, although he was so tall, he had to bend in two to hug me. He was just LOVE....... and i adored him, still do. He will never ever be able to be replaced, and i will always treasure him in my heart. I'll love him forever.
He was one person my husband loved to talk to, he just knew something about everything! We will miss him terribly but We KNOW he is HOME. God Bless you Tom, you're an angel now, just like in life....... We love you.......

I did not know Tom, but reading about him I learn that he was a very active person, between his job and volunteering!
May he rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy to you, Carol, at this difficult time.
God Bless You!

Dear Carol; I was so sorry to learn of your husband's passing in the MCDOWELL NEWS today. You both were such a pleasure to know at the American Red Cross in Marion as well at St. John's Episcopal Church. And also being from Connecticut gave us another bond too. I've missed you since you moved to Hickory and hope you will survive this sad time. With deepest sympathy to you, Love from Nancy Northrop Sluzinski
