

Toua Vang passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. His journey through life was marked by resilience, courage, and unwavering devotion to his family and those he loved.
Born in Laos, Toua faced immense challenges at a young age. In search of safety and opportunity, he migrated to the United States, determined to build a brighter future far from the turmoil of war. Through perseverance and hard work, he earned his high school diploma and completed college coursework—an achievement that reflected his dedication to growth and new beginnings.
Toua was a man of many passions. He found joy in raising show dogs, spending tranquil days fishing with his family, and designing and building koi ponds.
This was a true reflection of his patience, creativity, and love of nature. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, embodying strength, commitment, and selflessness.
Of all his accomplishments, Toua was most proud of being a father. He is survived by his beloved children: Isaac Vang, Cheyenne Vang, Sydney Vang, Kayla Vang, Nathan Vang, and Samantha Vang. They remain his greatest legacy—each carrying forward his spirit, his love, and the values he instilled.
Toua will be missed dearly, yet his life will continue to be celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
A funeral service for Toua will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home, Hickory, NC. Following the funeral service will be a burial at Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, NC.
