Tricia Lou Eidson, age 65, of Claremont, NC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024, surrounded by her father, daughter, and granddaughter at Carolina Caring - Catawba Valley Hospice House in Newton. Born on May 27, 1958, in Statesville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of David Edward Eidson and the late Wally McHargue Eidson. Tricia is also preceded in death by her brother, Keith Manuel Eidson.
Tricia graduated from Hickory High School, belonging to the class of 1976. She retired from a successful career as a Partner of Trade Shows Incorporated. While at Trade Shows Inc., Tricia found joy volunteering, particularly her passion for reading to children at the local elementary school.
An adventurous spirit, Tricia relished activities such as riding horses and bikes and traveling with her cherished family and friends. Known for her infectious personality, Tricia was the life of every gathering, her vibrant presence filling the room with laughter and warmth. Above all, Tricia held her family dear to her heart, leaving behind a trove of cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Tricia is survived by her father, David E. Eidson of Hickory; her daughter, Jessica Fender Criswell (Chastain), of Gastonia; granddaughter, Madison Mazell-Lou Criswell of Gastonia; niece, Taylor Eidson Matthews (Michael) of Walnut Cove; nephew, Patrick McHargue Eidson (Jordan) of Conover; and her great-nephews and niece, Luke Eidson, Miller Matthews, and Hazel Matthews.
In remembrance of Tricia's vibrant spirit and loving nature, a gathering will be held to honor her from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Catawba Funeral Home, 3060 US HWY 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602. Inurnment will be at a later date. Her legacy will continue to live on through the memories she shared and the love she bestowed upon her family and friends.
