Vera Mae Marshall Hedrick, 87, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Trinity Village in Hickory. She was born on June 18, 1930 to the late Jonah P. Marshall and Cora Hall Marshall in Caldwell County. Along with her parents, Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Bryce Hedrick; infant daughter, Jane and twelve brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Millie Strange and husband Ned of Hagerstown, MD; son, The Rev. Keith Hedrick and wife Debbie of Louisville, KY; granddaughters, Robin King and husband David of New Market, MD and Elizabeth Hedrick of Louisville, KY; brother, Paul Marshall of Granite Falls, NC; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved church family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Trinity Village for the exceptional care and support they provided during her stay with them. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Dick Schroeder will be officiating the service.
