HICKORY— Victoria “Vicki” McGee Farmer, 70, of Hickory passed away at her residence, Monday, August 28, 2017. Born in Catawba County on June 19, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Milton McGee and Gertie Lance McGee Rhodes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Wilmer McGee and a nephew Michael McGee. Vicki is survived by her longtime significant other John Nye of Hickory; nieces Lynne Ingle, Crystal McGee Curry and Angela Owen McGee; great nieces Lauren McGee and Megan McGee Hoots; great nephews Chad Ingle and Brad Ingle and a sister-in-law Frances McGee. The funeral will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod with Reverend David Ziehr and Reverend Dave Guelzow officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran School Endowment Fund, 2304 Springs Road NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
