Jan and I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Your family has always been very supportive and kind to us both. We think very highly of each of you. We sometimes don’t understand why God does what he does, but we must know He has a plan. May He help you find guidance and understanding during this time of pain. May God bless you all.

Clay, you will be missed by all of your family and friends. John and I saw you not long ago at the Propst gas station, and the last thing you said to me was that I needed to post more pics of all the food we make. Rest in peace friend!

Clay drove all the way to Taylorsville to pick me up to go watch a movie in the pouring down rain. We watched Ben Is Back. We ate pizza and junk food until we popped. We laughed so hard and had the best time together! I will never forget that night or his big heart or contagious laugh. He was the best guy ever. Love u Clay and see u soon my friend

It's surreal and unbelievable to me that you've left us so soon. As I get older, my childhood seems further away. And yet it feels so close in memory that it's sometimes hard to see clearly just how far we've come. As your cousin, I got the chance to grow up with you, spend time with you and your family, and I'm grateful for that chance. We had great times as kids, watching wrestling, eating pizza and playing with Matt in your family game room. As adults separated by life and hundreds of miles, facebook allowed us to stay in touch, share jokes, and poke fun at our relatives. Since your passing, I've thought a lot about this - particularly, about how often I would offer unsolicited advice to you in hopes you'd avoid the speed bumps I've hit in life. Looking back, I wonder if I wasn't too hard on you at times, as I tried to encourage you, uplift you and push you in the best direction. But I always saw such potential in you. At the same time, I learned from you the importance of having fun and not taking life so seriously. Ultimately, no matter what I write here, my words can't reflect just how tragic your passing is, just how much is lost now that you're gone. But I'll remember you and carry you - your sense of humor, especially - in my heart (and in good company) with Grandma and Grandpa Barbour. Give them big hugs for me, please. Love you always, my cousin!

I remember going over to your house every day -- to wrestle or to play Sonic or to just jump on the trampoline. I'll miss you, friend. We don't always know how little time we have left.

Dang so many memories with Clay. We knew each other all through middle school and we played football all through high school together. I remember going to Highland Rec. Center and playing basketball when we had nothing else to do. Clay whatever you was going through your free my friend, fly high and watch over your loved ones. You will truly be missed my friend. Love ya buddy.
