Vinson Lee Smoak

CONNELLY SPRINGS – Vinson Lee Smoak, 66 of Connelly Springs passed away on September 3, 2023.

Born on February 2, 1957 in Moore County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Reba Fogel Smoak. Vinson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He was strong in his faith and loved the Lord. Vinson worked in the restaurant industry for many years. He was loved by his customers and coworkers. He lived a full life and had many stories to tell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Ann Merritt Smoak and daughter, Reba Marie Smoak.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Angela Spencer and husband Randy Wingo, James David Smoak; grandchildren, Garrett Spencer, Tyler Spencer, Rachel Wingo, Nova Smoak, Kali Rae Smoak, Remy Rose Smoak, Josie Leatherman; siblings, Ramona Wallace, Charlie Smoak; numerous cousins and other family members; and former daughter in law, Jamie Leatherman and husband Mike.
