Virginia Stansell

Born in Orange County, Florida on March 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Leatha Sullivan Beard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Charles Irvin Stansell, her sister Ernestine Beard, and her brothers Linnie Dean Beard and Wallace Beard.

She is survived by her son Charles Stansell II and his wife Lauren of Connelly Springs and her daughter Lisa Goins and husband David of Statesville, a niece Susan Beard Story and husband Gary of Winter Garden, Fl, her nephew Gary Beard and wife Barbara of Jacksonville, FL, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11 :00 am at Bethany United Church of Christ in Claremont with Reverend Josh Fitterling officiating.

Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Road, Asheville, NC 28804 at 2:30 pm.
