Wanda Kay Townsend Worley, 67, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her residence in Hickory. Born July 6, 1953 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Geneva Townsend. A member of Harmony Baptist Church, Wanda was employed as a waitress.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Claude “Doc” Worley of the home; son, Michael Worley of Hickory; and daughter Pamela Brittain of Hickory.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church in Hickory with Pastor Arthur Mason officiating with burial to follow in Wilkies Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
