Dear Ruth, Cheryl, Tara and Sharon,
There is not time nor space to recount the many memories of being with you folk those years in the Hickory area, first with Martyne, and then with Peggy. Your home was a beacon in the darkness and warmth of heart was always there for us.
I can't imagine the changes time is bringing to our dear ones in the area, and to your family since I left in 2001. But ,alive in our heart is the gratitude for the fellowship and friendship shared with each. We will miss Bill, but we find comfort in the influence he was..and leaves to us. With loving care and sympathy beyond words to you all. Martha Houston

Ruth and family, I knew Bill through many years at the Catawba Valley Hosiery Association. I worked with him at meetings and social gatherings and always found him to be such a terrific guy to be around. I’m so sorry for your loss. He knew so many people and left behind so many memories, he will never be forgotten. God bless you all.

While I never met Mr. Lindsay, I felt like I knew him well from all the sweet and wonderful things my dear friend, Sharon, shared about him. She loved her daddy dearly and was always so grateful for his guidance and love for her and his whole family. He left a wonderful legacy in his family and I know they are comforted to know they will see him again in Heaven!!

Our hearts go out to the Lindsay family in this difficult time. In thinking of Bill, we remember the many times he gave our mom a ride to meeting, and especially how helpful and patient he was as her memory was failing, answering her many phone calls for Bible Study information, etc. I fondly remember Bill and Ruth visiting my mom in the hospital. We are very thankful for the many years of fellowship and friendship, particularly for our parents, Ralph and Carolyn.
With deepest sympathy,
Carolyn Rudisill and families
