WILMA MADELINE KELLER BRITTIAN Wilma Madeline Keller Brittian, age 96, passed away on April 12, 2017. She was born on July 26, 1920, in Judson, NC, to Joseph and Mary Howard. She graduated from Hildebran High School. She was a homemaker and raised her five children. She worked a variety of jobs, from hosiery to sales. She was actively involved in the family tax preparation business for decades. After retirement, she spent time traveling and seeing the world. She enjoyed music and singing. Wilma was proud of her family, and very active in the lives of her many, many grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday. She attended dozens of weddings, hundreds of graduations and birthday parties. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. To know her, was to love her. Wilma is survived by her husband, Vance Brittian; her children: Joe Keller, and wife Kay, of Marshall, Helen Price of Hickory, Tom Keller, and wife Mary, of Valdese, Doug Keller, and wife Judy, of Sawmills, Sharon Keller Barlow of Claremont. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and twelve great- great-grandchildren. Wilma was a devout Christian who lived her faith in every aspect of her life. She was the embodiment of Christ's grace and love towards all who knew her. She is celebrating in Heaven with those who preceded her in death, including: her parents; her husbands, J.C. Keller and John Shaver; her brother, Clarence Howard; her sisters, Irene Howard Tucker, Pauline Howard, and Eloise Howard Wilson. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Catawba Funerals & Cremations. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Ritchie, Chaplain Mike Costner and Rev. James Reed officiating.
