

HICKORY - Wilma Rich Neal, 83, passed away on Friday April 4th at Trinity Village surrounded by her family and friends. Mrs. Neal was born April 13, 1930, in Cleveland County to the late Carles Rich and Artie Cook Rich. She was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Ms. Neal taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She owned and operated Neal Properties. Ms. Neal was a realtor for eighteen years. She loved painting and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty seven years, Charles Odell Neal Jr. Surviving are her sons Charles Neal III and his wife, Diane of Montgomery, TX and Mark Neal and wife Laura of Webster Groves MO; her daughter Shelly Speagle of Hickory, NC; granddaughters Natalie Speagle of Charlotte, and Emily Norboge and husband Nicolas of Houston, TX; grandsons Matthew Neal and wife Kirby of Houston, TX, Justin Speagle of Hickory, Dylan Neal of Webster Groves, MO; great-grandson Charles Farrell Speagle of Hickory; sister Gale Sudduth and husband Earl of Seagrove, NC, and Charlotte Fidler of Sumpter, SC. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 6th at Mountain Grove Baptist Church from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The funeral Service will be held on Monday April 7th at 4:00 PM Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Loftis officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
