Hickory – Yolanda Maria Gallegos Kaminske Wright, 70 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Born on March 24, 1951 in Taos County, New Mexico, Yolanda was the daughter of the late Luciano and Geraldine Fernandez Gallegos. She loved her family and friends. She also loved to travel, especially to Gatlinburg and the beach, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and Patches her dog.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Thomas Kaminske and her second husband of one year, James Wright.
Survivors include, 3 sons, Thomas Kaminske Jr and wife Stephanie, Timothy Kaminske and wife Suzanne, Daniel Kaminske and wife Dana; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Faltynowicz and a step-son, Billy Wright.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Catawba Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mark Ivey officiating.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Alive Church of Newton or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
