Anthony Grimaldi, age 60, of Hicksville, New York, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 6, 2026. His unexpected passing leaves behind a profound sense of loss for all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Anthony was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, beloved son and brother, and a proud dog dad to his faithful companion, Jax. Above all else, Anthony was a family man who found his greatest joy and purpose in the people he loved.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Carin, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, memories, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his loving children, Joseph, Salvatore, and Enzo (Brandon), and by his adored grandchildren, Liliana, Laina, Anthony, Audrina, Adaline, and Cory, who brought immense happiness and pride to his life. He is also survived by his cherished mother, Carmela, and his brother, Philip. Anthony was predeceased by his father, Giuseppe, and his brother, Salvatore.
For 40 years, Anthony proudly dedicated himself to Delta Airlines, where he served as a Senior Coordinator. His commitment to his work was matched only by the kindness and compassion he showed to the people around him. Anthony was the kind of person who was always willing to help, always ready to lend a hand, and always concerned about the well-being of others. He took great pride in helping anyone who needed him, and his generosity of spirit touched countless lives throughout his career.
Anthony was truly everything to everyone. At home, he was the heart of his family—a steady source of love, strength, laughter, and support. At work, he was a trusted colleague and friend whose presence made a difference in the lives of those around him. He was respected and loved by so many, and there was never a shortage of kind words for Anthony. He was, in every sense of the word, a true gentleman.
Those who knew Anthony will remember not only the things he did for others, but the way he made people feel. His kindness, humility, generosity, and genuine concern for others were qualities that made him truly special. He gave so much of himself to the people he loved, leaving behind a legacy of compassion that will continue through his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Though Anthony was taken from this world far too soon, the love he gave and the memories he created will never be taken away. His family will carry his love in their hearts, and his grandchildren will grow up surrounded by the stories, lessons, and memories of a grandfather who loved them dearly. His legacy lives on in the people he cared for, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished above all else.
A visitation for Anthony will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home in Hicksville, New York.
