Benjamin J. Daguanno, youngest son of Ignazio Daguanno and Virginia Gramante Daguanno, retired NYS Certified Public Account, beloved husband of Catherine Castelli Daguanno, (died May 9, 2023), brother of Edward Daguanno (died April 4, 2020), and adored sister Marie Daguanno Riebe, beloved grandfather of Alessandro Castelli and Massimo Castelli, born September 21, 1931, passed on April 25, 2024.
Benjamin is survived by his sister Marie Riebe. Benjamin was the proud father of two sons, James D. Castelli and Frank Paul Daguanno. Benjamin will be missed by all who loved him and enjoyed his company. A Visitation for Benjamin will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family RC Church, 17 Fordham Ave, Hicksville, New York 11801. An Interment will occur Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York 11933.
Benjamin was a diligent accountant and avid Long Island Sound sailor, and served as Commander of the Oyster Bay Sail-Power Squadron. He was a loving father to his sons and adoring grandfather to his grandsons and friend to the community of Hicksville. Benjamin will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.
