Betty Betts, aged 95 died peacefully in her sleep at home on march 8th.She has been widowed from Carl for 33 years. She is survived by her daughter Joan and her son Calvin (Genie), a grandson Tom, a great granddaughter, Annabella, brother Marty and her "step-daughters" Sue and Barbara. She is the FAVORITE aunt to scores.
She worked for the City of New York in the Public Administrators Office having retired 3 decades ago. Betty was active with the Bellmore Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary having been honored by them for 60 years of service. She was Bellmore's Tuesday volunteer deliverer for Meals on Wheels bringing each person much more then food.
Our Bishop awarded Betty the Bronze Pelican Scouting Award for her work with St. Barnabas Cub Scouts in the Parvuli Dei program.
She was fun-loving, gentle and kind. Her presence will be sorely missed.
