Charles J. Stengl, formerly of Hicksville, New York passed away on May 10, 2020. On April 4, 1953 he married Ruth Becker. Charlie served in the US Navy for 5 years. He was a police officer for the NYPD for 32 years. He retired from the 112th Pct. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth and one daughter, Jean. He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Jim) Roush of Wellman, IA and Laura Stengl of Hicksville, NY. Two grandchildren Rebecca (Jared) Droll of Wellman, IA and Benjamin (Hannah) Roush of Ely, IA. And 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Lucy, Rowan and Arthur. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
