Doris J. Grieshaber

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, aunt, sister and friend Doris Grieshaber at the age of 83 passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side. She is survived by her three sons Andrew ( Linda) Arthur (Teresa) Kevin (Diane), Nine grandchildren Dena, Alex, Alicia, Adam (Kayleigh) Nicholas (Lauren) Lindsey (Matthew) Taylor, Kristin, Lauren, 6 great grandchildren Olivia, Emma, Jade, Jensen, Riley, and Colton, Sister Millie and many nephews and nieces.

Doris was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. While growing up she met and married the love of her life Andrew. Together they moved to Hicksville, New York and had a beautiful and happy life together raising their 3 sons and enjoying time with many friends.

Doris was a very independent woman who loved Mahjong, going to the casino and many senior activities with her husband Andrew until his passing, Although this loss was devastating and she missed him dearly, this tragedy made her stronger and she persevered by continuing to do all the activities she loved and spending time with family.

Visitation for Doris will be held Thursday December 14, 2023 from 9am-10:45am at Vernon C Wagner Funeral Home 125 Old Country Rd Hicksville New York 11801. Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday December 14, 2023 at 11:15am at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church, 129 Broadway, Hicksville New York. Entombment will occur Thursday December 14, 2023 at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11785.
