

Edward J. Van Leuvan passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was a remarkable person who dedicated his life to serving his country and community. As a Vietnam Veteran, he served his country honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps and later continued his service by becoming a Nassau County Police officer.
Edward was known for his passion for horses and dogs. He had an incredible sense of humor and left an impression wherever he went. He enjoyed old movies, traveling with his wife, rodeos, and, most importantly, his family. Whenever he was with his family, he often remarked that "it was his little slice of heaven."
Edward is survived by his wife and best friend, Karen, of 34 years. His children Anna Gaetano, his son-in-law Frank Gaetano, and grandchildren Nicholas and Frank. His son Eric VanLeuvan, daughter-in-law Tami, and grandchildren Malena and Declan, brother Bruce VanLeuvan, sister-in-law Judy, nieces and nephew Jacquline Green, Janine Viti, and Justin Jankowski. He was predeceased by his father, Edward VanLeuvan, His Mother, Estelle VanLeuvan ( nee-Hassett), and his sister Elleen Jankowski.
A Visitation for Edward will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. A Funeral Service will occur Friday, March 15, 2024, at 5:00PM 125 Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. A cremation service at Mt. Pleasant Crematory, Center Moriches, New York will occur Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:30 AM.
