This world don't promise tomorrow. My private doctor Dr. Emmanual Decade that under my health care for 20 years me being his patient for long time just pass away. I don't think i would able to migo with other doctors without him. It very difficult to lost a doctor that i am so attached with i really need Dr. EMMANUEL DECADE as my doctor. Doctor Emmanual Decade very professional practice, Excellent 5 stars and never give me no hard time if i want things done. People even tell me that they want him to be their family primary physician doctor. I will missed all the laugh and joke with always do . I appreciated all the advise you gave me and i want to thank you for being a good doctor to me. This my big lost 2021. DR. EMMANUEL DECADE RIP.

Dr. Decade was such an amazing, vibrant, loving and caring soul he was truly one of a kind I cannot compare him to any other doctors my family and I have been to. He was a care package wrapped in human form with all the necessary ingredients that make you leave his office feeling much better mentally, emotionally, and physically than when you first came in. He made you feel, seen, heard, and acknowledged he was so genuine. He is unforgettable I will always remember him for giving the best hugs every time you see him and his conversations that made you feel like you were catching up with a loved one, but that was because he was. We have all received another angel and I know that he will watch over us in heaven as he did for us on earth. My condolences to the family of Dr. Decade and his loved ones, you will be in our prayers. Dr. Decade rest now angel you did such a wonderful job on earth and were a role model to us all on how to treat others with love and compassion and as family! Until we meet again we love you and thank you.

I met and worked with Dr. Decade for almost a year at Elmont Health Center, and one thing I will never forget, is when I heard him sing, clap his hands, and stomp his feet with some of the patients. They loved it. And truth be told, it tickled me, too. I laughed even at home...
Dr. Decade, I will miss all of those things, but I know you are still singing and clapping your hands with the other angels.
We miss you, and will always love you.

I was extremely dismayed when hearing about my brothers demise but I do believe that God knows best and that we are not our own. We belong to God and all that we are is by Gods grace.
I spent many fun filled days traveling and practicing medicine together in Roosevelt NY.
We considered each other brothers and even though we lost communication due to my move to the Virgin Islands I always cherished our time together.
May I say to the family and love ones that He will never be forgotten because of his great spirit and care for his patients and friends. Please continue to look up and live for God will take of you and fill the void in life

Too soon, Dr. Decade has left us. At the Elmont Center, we knew him as he was living proof of just how fine a person can be. His brilliance, his listening skills, positive attitude, honesty, loyalty, humor, and most of all his compassion will be missed. He always graciously shared what he knew of the world, family life, sports and stock markets, and he knew volumes.
Our lives will be empty in places that has energy once filled but our collective memories will continue to hold him in high regard.

May God, family and friends help you during this most trying time of pain and grief.
Dr. DeCade was our family’s Physician for over 20 years to include five of my grandchildren. Living in the Rockaway area, Dr. DeCade was everyone’s family doctor and treated people with respect and dignity. While he did not make home visits, he would call in the evening if necessary as a follow up on my family members who were very sick. His commitment to his patients was without failure, he didn’t just ascertain how sick you were, he would look you straight in the eye and ask you how are you really doing mentally as well as physically. Dr. DeCade made sure when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer that the best hospital and doctors treated me, I do credit him with saving my life. The Rockaway families he served as their family doctor have indeed lost a great Family Physician. He will so be missed in our community as a family man, a great doctor and a real friend.
Dr. DeCade will most definitely be missed, but most definitely never forgotten.

I am very disheartened by the sudden loss of Dr. Decade, my condolences to his family, for whom he always cared so much.
There are many good memories that I have of our time together at Elmont as I developed through the Family Medicine residency. Dr. Decade was a great mentor as an attending and also as a friend. He always gave the real life practical perspective on everything, whether it was treating a medical condition, maintaining good relationships with patients/community, or just making sure to take time for fun even if it meant cutting into hours for sleep.
"You're too young for that! If you're gonna be tired and sleep because of work, you'll never have time for fun anymore," he would say. And I knew he meant it because he always brought the energy, no matter if it was the start or end of the day (even at 8pm).
I still try to put his lessons into practice daily. RIP Dr. Decade, you will be missed

Dr. Decade was the pillar that held the Far Rockaway community together. He spoke highly of his family including his daughter and all her accomplishments from birth to college, his wife with all their lovely vacations, his sister the nurse, including his parents and never forgot to mention his starting point at York College and his challenges to get to his ultimate goals as a physician. Dr. D was my family physician for over 23 years when he opened his first office as a new Attending in the Vista Building on Beach 20th Street Far Rockaway. He was always attentive, respectful kind, compassionate, and never forgot to compliment my children. He took excellent car of my four daughters as they grew up and was very patient as he administered their immunizations during infancy. He always encouraged higher education with my children and encouraged them to stay positive. He even wrote their proposed profession on the front of their charts during conversations during their kindergarten stage and always reminded them of it at each visit. My husband and I saw him as a family physician, a big brother and a guiding light in the family. He always made sure that I understood the diagnosis and plan of care encouraged me to read health issues that concerned me, and inspired me to become a nurse. Years later, when I was unable to locate a preceptor for my nurse practitioner program he stepped in and took the role at Peninsular hospital center family clinic. My family and I were devastated to learn of his passing. We will continue to pray for the family that God may give them the strength each day to cope with an incredible loss. I would like to encourage his family, friends, and his patients to remember the good times that they held with this heroic man.

I pay homage to a man who fed the hunger and healed the sick at the same time. A man who journeyed through the nooks and crannies and gave everything he had to humankind.
For ten years, I sat on the advisory board of hospital and for those ten years, Dr. Decade was my personal physician and friend. My visits were not that of a regular patient as we spoke about his daughter, his wife, our love of art and the trips he wanted to take. When I vacationed in Paris, he shared that he was planning to visit and wanted to attend the opera. Dr. Decade knew how to give a compliment to a baby straight to an elderly person. He was charismatic, generous and only wanted the best for all people. Dr. Decade was the nucleus at the Elmont Health Center, the sun in everybody’s cloud and the rhythm to every patient heart beat.
He ventured into territories less traveled by the powerless. The complexity of his background, so privileged and yet so marginal, allowed him to relate in the purest form with the dispossessed and those with little success. Because, it is with those that there existed a common thread. He could dine with the King, but he always saved a chair for the beggar.
Dr. Decade, you retired from this world as we know it, to embrace and reflect a legacy and reception with an orchestra fitting for a King whose life illuminated the world. Rest In Peace my friend and may perpetual light shine upon you forever.

Dr. D was my doctor for over 20 years. He was truly my god. He saved my life by helping me get my weight loss surgery, I was 409 pounds he was very concerned about me having a heart attack with my high blood pressure. I’m 220 pounds now blood pressure is good. He added so many more years to my life me I just wish I could of did the same. My love goes out to the entire family. He was truly a great man.

Dr. Decade was one of my Attendings at Elmont during residency just a few short years ago!Today, I feel very lucky and privileged having shared a large portion of my training sitting right besides him. His training methods were different and loved by us all! He instilled confidence in each of us, and was a very valuable part in developing us as a future caring physicians. He dedicated his career to teaching future physicians, and he did it so well! He was admired and loved by his patients, and loved by all his students. The extra moment he chose to spend connecting to his patients made all the difference. He was a friend to all, so full of energy, and ready to tackle anything with the brightest smile! He entered any room and laughter would only follow! Even though I have never met the family he leaves suddenly behind, he spoke volumes of you! His daughter brought him so much joy as he shared her accomplishments, graduation, how excellent her grades were with us! His world was his family and everything he did was for them and that was always visible! Please accept my deepest condolences, may you find comfort knowing that parts of him remain in each of his students lives, his colleagues, and all his patients! He will be surely missed and always remembered.

I was privileged to have known Emmanuel Decade. We have become friends through the years and we always would smile 😁 bicker and laugh. I knew his family vicariously through him. A man that was so helpful and loving to his patients. Everyone you saw around him had lights in their eyes. I have no words of comfort because there are none at this time. We just have to remember who this fabulous person is and reflect on him as we try go on without him.
I pray and know that God is by his side and always has been through his journey.
He was given the talents of healing others. What a wonderful human skill.

Dr Decade was always a powerhouse of energy when he came into our clinic to work at Peninsula Hospital.

It was a great but too brief honor to work with Dr. Decade over the last 2 years as Associate Medical Director at LIFQHC.
