I was shocked and saddened at the loss of my golfing and bowling Busch. Way too early for this scholar and gentleman. He will truely be missed.

Sorry for your loss.  Joe was a great man and everybody loved him.  We will miss him on the lanes.  Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Best memory was his team being interviewed & taped after he and his team scoring the highest single game record. That smile filled the bowling center. His team would win the night, and WE left with a smile on our faces because of Joe.

I will always remember those wonderful days at the Glen Oaks Little League. How proud your father was to see you play. Our thoughts and sympathy to all the family and friends of Joey Gemmo.

Bowled with Joe for many years, also bowled with his father Nick back at Sterling Bowl.  He was a good friend, always a pleasure to be with and I loved the man.  I will miss him...  My heart goes out to the family for this tragic loss....

Anna, the great thing about our faith is that he is in a far better place with no pain and will be waiting for you as he prays for you and the family.  Take care of yourself and the family and remember the good times, like you going up to him in the HS cafeteria because he was afraid to be the first one to make contact. The big shy guy he was. Anna, it seems not so long ago I shared the powder blue Skylark with you and Joe on the way home from Van Buren baseball practice and a table at our prom. What a great guy. It was wonderful to reconnect with Joe through the GOLL reunion. Everybody to a player  put Joe on the top of their lineup. I am so sorry he left us. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, and all of our hearts and prayers go out to you.

The 1957/58 Glen Oaks Little League All-Star team (of which Joe was a member) sends our collective sympathy to his loving wife Anna and the entire Gemmo family. We all remember Joe as a fine athlete, great teammate and overall nice guy! We all will be ever in his debt for his part in pulling off our 50th Anniversary in 2007 bringing back a flood of wonderful memories. We will miss you "Gemmo"!!
