Joseph G. Presto Sr.

Born October 18, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to Francesco A. Presto and Luna E. Presto (Eirino). Joe attended Boys High and went on to graduate from Brooklyn College with a degree in Business Administration after serving in the United States Army. On June 26, 1948 he married Marie Rendo and together they shared 66 years together.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marie Presto (Rendo), his sister Carolyn Presto, his 2 children Joseph, Jr and Laura, and his 2 grandchildren who were the center of his world, Stephanie and Alexandra Milhaven.

Joe was a World War II Veteran. He served his country in China/Burma and was honorably discharged on January 26, 1946. Joe married Marie while attending college at night and working during the day. In 1957 he became the owner/partner at J.C. Truck Equipment, Garden City, NY. He was a member of Rotary, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Elks, VFW, and DAV. He was an active member of St. Pius X RC church since 1963.

Joe and Marie enjoyed entertaining and traveling. They traveled extensively and made friends around the globe.

The family will receive friends at Wagner Funeral Home - 125 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11803 Sunday June 29, 2014 from 3pm – 7pm.
