By now Joe has been greeted with a 'top of the morning' and daily joke from Peter Meade, a McCormack burger rare with cheese and greasy fries expertly prepared by Jerry McC and a hearty 'ET you're home!' from Barny Boyhan, while Abby sits at his feet.
Joe, thanks for the laughs and when you find that family from Briggs Street tell them they're not forgotten. FC39

Ann, my sincere and deep sympathy to you and the children on Joe’s sudden death. And to my cousins Don, Nancy and Bob on the loss of your youngest sibling. Joe had a sweet nature and impish good humor. He was a genuinely fine human being, husband, father, son and brother. I feel such sadness on losing my youngest cousin. ❤️

Dear Anne and family,
My condolences to you and your extended family. Joe and I are five days apart in age and I thought of him as my birthday cousin. I will miss his smile and good nature and his ability to just show up whenever anyone needed him. He loved his community and worked hard for them as a volunteer fireman. Last time I came to NY he picked me up at the airport and drove me to Nancy and Bob's house. His smile and sweet soul will be and is missed.
All my love,

I am saddened to hear of Joe's passing. His service to Nassau County and CSEA Nassau Local 830 as a Unit President and board member was appreciated. Rest in peace.
