It’s been a long while since I’ve heard your voice. Having a hard time remembering what it sounds like.  I wish you and grandma were here to watch us grow up.

My uncle which is Louis was always nice and loving. Although I don’t really remember to much because I was young I just remember going to his house on Christmas. 

Louie was by far the best Soldier I had ever met, he could not be shaken, his calm demeanor always made thing easier to deal with, this is one Soldier that will be missed by all who ever came in contact with him.

My deepest sympathies to the Cannava family. Although we have never met, I have been a long time friend of his brother Thomas.  He has always spoken lovingly of his brother and family.  Such sorrow can be comforted with the memories of good times. Let these memories sustain you all.

You have been a supportive part of our National Guard Family and a close friend.  During all the summer camps, drills, etc,  Louie always commended you and there was never a question as to how imortant you all were to him and how much he loved you all.

I can not find the right words to tell you how sorry I am about your loss. Louie was a special person to all of us. I'll never be able to listen to Taps without thinking of my friend and fellow soldier.   I salute my friend and his family.  God Bless you all.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Louie's family.
I worked with him in the 102 Detective Squad. He always made me smile when he came through the door at the start of his tour. I too was a recipient of his hugs and kisses. We were all so fortunate to have had him in our lives.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was my honor and privilege to know and serve with Louie. To know him was to love him. Thank you for letting us in the Army National Guard share him with your family for all these years. He was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone.

Louie was an "angel" who touched soo many lives.  His kindess and heart of gold will always be remembered.  Louie and my brother Bobby his partner, are together now and I know they are embracing each other talking about their old times and sharing stories about their life in the NYPD and their partnership in business.  Louie was like a brother to me and I Thank God for the special friendship we shared.  May you rest in peace, my friend.  You will always be my "hero" and hold a special place in my heart.
