My sweet pumpernickel rye. The hardest thing in life is to lose the ones you love and you were certainly one that we loved the most. Seeing your little self with the biggest smile was always something I loved too see. The past few years were tough on everyone but only you were experiencing the pain. I find comfort knowing you’re no longer in pain and you’re finally relaxed and free, dancing and shining down on us from above.
You were an inspiration to myself, Lisa and the boys. When family turned there back, you didn’t. When the going got tough, you got tougher. You were never one to be controlled or stand for ones nonsense and I took a lot of the qualities from you. Leo Enzo & Nico will always remember Nanny and they already know you are in heaven dancing with the puppies! I’ll miss you everyday, I’ll love you forever and I’ll make sure Aunt Janet is always happy! That will be a tough task! 😜 but she stepped up for you so i’m going to step up for you.

Dearest Grandma,
My favorite and most distinct memories as a child were on 82nd Street at your house. I'm so lucky to have had them because you were the best hostess, a job that Aunt Laura has also come to perfect! The 80's were filled with times on the stoop, under the apricot tree, in your above-ground pool, blowing up the block on July 4th. We played wiffle ball in the street, celebrated holidays in the basement, ate Sunday dinners--oh the *aroma* of the food! We walked up to Aunt Marion's or visited the Pintos (hi Kim!), and bought goodies at the candy store. I remember sitting with Uncle Dom and even Grandpa Jerry, who used to say all the time to my brother, "Hey, Anthony, where's the macaroni?!"
You provided a fantastic collection of memories. You also provided a fantastic group of aunts and uncles to enjoy life with. We all love you. We all miss you. We all celebrate in your honor; something you'd insist on.

Little grandma, it doesn’t feel real. Every single one of us have lived our whole lives with you on this earth. Even though we were prepared for you to be with god, it’s still a shocking feeling when we think about you not being here with us. You meant so much to everybody. You didn’t have to even say a word. Just seeing you sitting in the little rocking chair rubbing your hands together in silence was so comforting. I’ll miss looking over and seeing you rock 😂. One thing grandma was known for was her little nicknames. I’ll always be your butterball. She was also known for saving everything we gave her. Whether a piece of art, or literally just anything. She had an eye dr appointment card saved in her box that we just found from 10 years ago haha. 

Over  the past year it’s been very hard to see you and be there for you being that we moved to Naples. I try not to think about it but this makes me sad. I wish I could’ve been there to take you to Charhut like we always used to do. 

Im so happy that you were able to meet Natalie. I know the last year was a blur but you got to enjoy her for her first year on this earth. We have the best videos of you holding little tiny Natalie. As she grows up I promise to spread your memory and I’ll make sure she knows exactly how wonderful her grandma Lucille was.  I love you so much grandma,

I miss you so much already. Nothing is going to be the same without you especially holidays and your eggplant parm (which was the best in the world.)  I will forever be thinking of all of the times I would come over and watch the Golden Girls while we would drink tea or waking up to you making coffee at the crack of dawn. I know you loved The Carpenters and I will make sure to listen to them more often to help bring me closer to you. You will be forever missed by us all. I love you.

It’s hard to find the words to say just how much grandma will be missed. I’ve never met someone who loves coffee and cookies as much as she did. In the last few times grandma came over she would whisper to me “they won’t let me have more coffee, could you maybe make me one?” And I would giggle and sneak her a second cup of coffee. Grandma was truly one of a kind. Sometimes we would sit and just hold hands and she would smile at me and I’d smile back. It was the best feeling. 

My best memory of us is when we told her we were having Natalie and we tried to surprise her with a box and April screamed so loud that she scared her and she threw the box because she thought we were pranking her. We all ended up cracking up and her reaction was great. I’m happy Natalie got to meet her great grandma and I will forever cherish alllll the nicknames she made up for our little potato. 

I will forever remember grandma as a dancing queen, if there was music.. she would always be in for some dancing. She was always dressed and always wore her jewelry. She used to let me do her makeup sometimes and you could really tell just how much she enjoyed looking her best. Her nails were always done, her hair always looked good. I’ve always admired her for that, it didn’t matter where she was going, she always looked great. 

God has taken her up to heaven now and although she will be so missed  here...I know he took all of your pains away.  Rest In Peace ❤️ I love you so much and I will never forget you.

Dear Lucille,
We didn’t know each other long but it’s been a blessing for the short time knowing you. Living with you for the past year I seen the changes happening day by day and it was breaking my heart. You were one of the nicest people I met, had a heart of gold and anytime I was down you always put a smile on my face. It’s been a tough year between losing my mother 4 months ago to now this. I know you and my mother are up in heaven drinking a cup of coffee together watching down on us. I will be there for Aunt Janet every step of the way. May you Rest In Peace sweet angel.

Who knew when I married laura that I would end up with the golden goose, that was you ma the best mother-in-law anyone could ask for!!!!  What I would give to sit across from you one more time and tell you that your almost dust and you would always have a smart ass response. I could never win those battles.  that was always our thing. Your life will live on through all the memories we have. I promise this there will not be a day that goes by that I don't think of you and cherish all the memories we had. Its only been a few days since you went to heaven and I miss you so much already. I still can't believe that your not here anymore. I know you weren't the same the last few years because of all the pain, arthritis, and then Dementia hit like a lightning strike. We all made the best of it and actually had a lot of fun with you. We realized you would pretty much do anything , we put silly hats on you, the kids made you Dab and of course who can forget the infamous cuss words that suddenly would come out of a 5 ft 90 lb  little lady's mouth. Although sometimes it made us sad we found humor in it and never thought you would go so fast. Ultimately the complications from the pneumonia took your life. Mom I know in all my heart you were tired, you knew in the end that there was a better place to be, there was a place that we would all meet again. You now have your wings my beautiful angel, mommy, and friend
and I know you are pain free. My heart will heart until the day I see you again. I love you mom and always will
