Maureen T. (Laffin) Luyster, of Hicksville, passed away on December 1, 2021. Beloved wife of John W. Luyster. Devoted mother of Shannon T. Ackerly (Rob), John J. Luyster (Kristina), Matthew C. Luyster (Jaime), Michael A. Luyster (Tara), and Patrick W. Luyster. Loving sister of John J. Laffin Jr. and Stephen P. Laffin. Survived by 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. Visiting hours will be at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 125 W. Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York, Wednesday, December 8, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, December 9, 10:00 am, at Our Lady Of Mercy RC Church, 500 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. A Celebration of life to follow at Station 4, Hicksville Fire Department, Levittown Parkway, Hicksville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
