Milagro leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, strength, and devotion. She is survived by her loving children, Julia (Carlos), Monica, and Everett; her adored grandchildren, Naomi, Daniel, Eric, and Evan; and her cherished sisters, Flor and Edis. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her years.
Milagro was a devoted congregant of St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church Parish, where her faith was at the very center of her life. She put the Lord first and foremost and made prayer an important part of each and every day. Her faith gave her strength, guided her through life’s challenges, and was something she lovingly shared with those around her. She was not only a woman of faith, but also a teacher in the truest sense—not in a classroom, but through the wisdom, example, and love she gave to her family and to those she prayed alongside.
Family was everything to Milagro. She was the backbone of her family, a source of strength, comfort, and unwavering support. She worked tirelessly to provide her children and family with a good life, sometimes working multiple jobs and making countless sacrifices without complaint. Her determination, resilience, and selflessness were a testament to the depth of her love. She taught her family, through her own example, the importance of hard work, perseverance, faith, and caring for one another.
Milagro was a brilliant and remarkable woman who somehow always found time for the people she loved. Though she was often busy caring for others and meeting life’s many responsibilities, she never lost her ability to make people feel loved and welcomed. She was loving and nurturing, funny and compassionate, yet straightforward and honest. She was forgiving, supportive, and always willing to offer her wisdom, a helping hand, or a prayer. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her, and her laughter and personality left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
To her family, Milagro was so much more than a mother, grandmother, sister, and loved one. She was their foundation, their teacher, their protector, and a constant source of love. Her devotion to her family and her faith shaped the lives of those around her, and the lessons she taught will continue to live on through the generations.
Everyone loved Milagro, and her absence will be deeply felt. Yet, while the pain of losing her is great, so too is the gift of having had her in our lives. Her love, her prayers, her strength, her humor, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life may have come to an end, but the love she gave will never fade.
May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord she faithfully served, and may her memory be eternal.
Visitation for Milagro will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home in Hicksville, NY, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with interment immediately following at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.
May Milagro’s memory, her faith, and the love she so generously gave remain forever in our thoughts and, most especially, in our hearts.
May her memory be eternal.
