It is with sadness that I write this note to Nora's family. I am just learning of her passing within the past hour. We were both active members of the Start Today (virtual) walking group. She is someone who, while we never actually met in person, we actually formed a bond and regularly communicated in the group. This community of virtual strangers have become family, and she was Surely a large part of this for so many. She was Always Encouraging, Always Supportive, Always Kind, Always Caring, Always Loving. She spoke very Fondly of her family - whom you could tell she Loved and Adored very much. Many of us are just heartbroken by this ~ I would have been remiss if I did not say something here. Your Mom was a beloved member of our group, she was very well liked/loved and thought of and will surely be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences for all of you - Much Love & Prayers

I’m deeply saddened to learn of Nora’s sudden passing. I met Nora through my dear long time friend Ivonne. I remember speaking with Nora about her school excursions to Spain. Her face filled with joy as she described the experience. On quite a few celebrations we shared the dance circle led by the Alvarez sisters. Nora embodied the gift of Joy. May her joyful  spirit be forever with you as you walk through life. 
May our Heavenly Father usher her into his loving arms.

I first met Nora in 1988 when I started teaching Spanish at Garden City HS. She was a colleague who quickly became a friend. Throughout the 30+ years that I knew her, we shared many experiences both personally and professionally. I especially enjoyed the countless laughs between us that became an integral part of our days. Nora was forever upbeat, kind, and encouraging, always looking at the positive side of things. She loved life and approached it with a zest and appreciation. Above all, she had a kind heart and made everyone feel welcomed and important. She touched so many lives in an unassuming yet powerful way. 
Nora, you will not be forgotten. The mark you have left is forever etched in the lives of those who were touched by your presence. Peace be with you, my friend, and may God hold you forever in the palm of His hand.

Sending Chris + Mrs Artibees family so much love, peace and my most sincere condolences. Mrs. Artibee was  the most kindest + warmest person you can ever meet. I have fond memories  of her as a teenager, and will miss her daily inspirational posts as an adult. ♥️🙏🏼😞🕊️

Señora Artibee was one of my favorite teachers in high school. She was incredibly kind, patient and understanding and I was so blessed to have had the chance to get to know her. She always appeared to be so effortlessly classy and stylish; her poise was always something I admired. One of my favorite memories with Señora was when we went to Cozymels for a Spanish Club trip where she ordered all of us flan and fried icecream! We had such a fun time laughing and talking together and getting to know each other outside of the classroom setting. Her warmth and beautiful spirit will be missed. Que descanse en paz.

Nora was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person.  When I arrived at Garden City High School, she was the first teacher to greet me and wish me the best.  This was a fond memory for me.  I was replacing a legend as Principal and a veteran staff.  Nora helped me relax and accept my new responsibilities.  Over the years we worked together, and I got to appreciate her even more.  She was major part of our school.  Students loved her and knew how wonderful a teacher she was.  For me, she was a person that I could always count on for a smile and support.  We will all miss Nora.  Rest in Peace, my dear friend.
