Born on December 8, 1949, in Astoria, NY, Ray was a proud New Yorker through and through. He built his life on simple but powerful values, dedication to family, loyalty to friends, and pride in an honest day’s work. For many years, Ray worked as a UPS driver, a job he approached with reliability and determination. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, never shying away from long hours or tough days, always putting those he loved first.
At the center of Ray’s world was his beloved wife, Carol. Married for 50 wonderful years, their love story began when Carol was just 14 years old, a testament to a lifelong bond built on friendship, commitment, and unwavering devotion. Together they created a home filled with laughter, strength, and enduring love.
Ray was a proud and devoted father to Denise Beaumont-Toon (Billy), Matt Beaumont, and Greg Beaumont (Chiara). Nothing brought him greater joy than his family, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His pride only grew with the arrival of his cherished grandchildren, Alexismarie, Rocco and the late Anthony, who brought an extra spark of happiness to his later years. He was equally enamored with the birth of his great-grandchildren Anthony, Connor, Andrea & Shelby. Ray also leaves behind his loving brother Joseph Beaumont (JoAnn).
Beyond his work and family, Ray had a deep appreciation for classic cars. He especially loved his 1950 Chevy and his 1976 Cadillac Eldorado, vehicles that reflected his admiration for craftsmanship and timeless style. He enjoyed tinkering, reminiscing, and sharing stories, often with a smile that revealed just how much those cars meant to him.
Ray will be remembered for his steady presence, his strong work ethic, his quiet generosity, and the deep love he had for his family. He was a man who showed up day after day, year after year with commitment and heart.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 125 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.
Words of remembrance may be shared at VernonCWagnerFuneralHome.com.
Though he is deeply missed, the love Ray gave so freely will continue to guide and comfort his family for generations to come.
