Thomas Edward Fleming Thomas Edward Fleming, 62, passed away on September 30, 2026. Tom was the beloved husband of Karen, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. He was a devoted father to Janelle and Tommy, and his family was truly the center of his world. Tom was also close with his brother, Edward. He cherished the time they spent together, especially watching sports. Throughout his life, Tom remained incredibly close with his childhood friends, friendships that meant a great deal to him throughout the years. Tom had a special way of making his children’s friends feel like part of the family. His home was always open to them, and he welcomed them as if they were his own. He was a lifelong sports fan and gave countless hours of his time volunteering as a coach throughout Janelle and Tommy’s lives. He coached football, baseball, basketball and softball, but his greatest passion was Crusader football. Tom was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan, and Yankee fan. He also loved horse racing and looked forward every year to his trip to Saratoga. Above all, Tom will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, the relationships he built and maintained throughout his life, and the countless memories he created with the people closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801,on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Family Church, 17 Fordham Ave, Hicksville, NY 11801, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
