Alexandra “Sandy” Marie Pelletier, age 83, passed away on July 8, 2026, and is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Edmound. Sandy was a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her—remembered with deep respect for a life marked by steadfast faith, quiet strength, and a generous, selfless devotion to family and community.
Born December 14, 1942, in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, Sandy was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Pietruszka Klaus. Throughout her life, she met each season with resilience and a hard-working spirit, offering kindness freely and standing as a steady source of care and encouragement to those around her.
Sandy earned an associate’s degree in nursing and later retired as an optical assistant. Her working life reflected both versatility and determination, with roles that included truck driving, retail management, switchboard operation, and ice cream shop management. Above all, she was a devoted mother and a proud Navy spouse, giving of herself with constancy and love.
She married the love of her life, Edmound Pelletier, and together they raised three sons—Andrew, Dana, and Daryl. Their marriage spanned forty-eight loving years before Edmound’s passing, a testament to enduring commitment and shared devotion.
Sandy cherished quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her warmth was felt most deeply in those everyday moments of togetherness. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point, North Carolina, where her faithful service included participation in the prayer shawl ministry, clergy support, and other activities—offered with the same generosity and care that shaped her life.
Surviving are her three sons, Andrew Pelletier, Dana (Sonya) Pelletier and Daryl (Angela) Pelletier; her six grandchildren, Aimee, Reese, Eric, Frankie, Braeden, Gabriel; and her sister, Christina Klaus.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sandy will be celebrated Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12 noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior of Mass. Interment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary or The Wounded Warrior Project.
