I am at the beach this week and I am so sad that I cannot be there to show my support for your family and also for Dakota's.  You two are on my mind constantly.  I was so blessed to have you in my first period and start my mornings with your amazing personality.  You were such a shining star.  I will miss you terribly, Ledford will miss you, everyone will miss you.  I am so comforted to know that you were involved in church.  Heaven has gained an amazing angel.  I am praying for comfort and peace for your family.  If Heaven has a whiteboard, I know you are leaving kind messages for everyone, signed with lots of pretty hearts!

I can tell you grew into a beautiful young lady, but in my mind you will always be that sweet 7 and 8 year old girl who always had a smile on her face and a helpful hand. I missed you when you moved on to 3rd grade, but always enjoyed when you would come back to visit.  I will never forget your sweet beautiful face and those big hugs. I loved teaching you, watching you learn and grow that year. I'm praying for your family that you left behind, and will rejoice with again one day.

Alexis was a beautiful, outgoing, loving person. She never let anything bring her down. She was always the one to cheer someone up with her great laugh. I will never forget the times we spent together in the hallways if Ledford. Alexis' family are in my prayers. I imagine Alexis playing basketball and laughing extremely hard in heaven. I will continue to remember her for her outgoing personality, great laugh, love for the game of basketball and her passion to make life great. You will be missed deeply sweet girl, but God has you now.

I know I haven't seen Alexis in over a year, we were really close in elementary school and stayed friends in middle school. It doesn't even seem real that this Happened. She was an amazing person and lit up any room she was in. She will be missed so much!

It was my privilege to teach this sweet girl for 6 years, and to see her change from that funny little kindergartener into a caring, compassionate leader. Praying that your family will find comfort and peace in this difficult time.
