Alice Killingsworth Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy was born January 31, 1927 in Carbon Hill, Alabama, one of twelve children to Walter R. and Rinda Woodard Killingsworth. She lived in Carbon Hill until the age of eighteen, when she moved to the High Point and Thomasville area. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Oak Hill Friends Meeting and was a devoted loving Mother and Grandmother to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Kennedy on February 16, 1976.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law: John and Julia Kennedy of High Point; grandchildren, Emily Kennedy of High Point and Scott Kennedy and wife Erica of Charlotte. Scott and Erica are expecting the first great grandchild in July. Also surviving are Mrs. Kennedy’s twin sister, Mrs. Vera Proctor of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews and one special niece, Carolyn Cox of Thomasville.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Friends Meeting by the Reverend John Sides. Interment will be at a later date in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
