

Anna was born in Germany on October 31,1960, to Julian McElree Capps and Ruth Dixon Hartline, and was also loved by her late father James Buford Hartline.
She graduated in 1978 from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, VA, where she was a majorette. She married James Thomas Pensyl on October 4, 1981, in Portsmouth, VA.
Anna was a devoted mother who loved her children dearly. She loved nature, gardening and wildlife. She was a talented dancer, songwriter and musician, and blessed her family with her deep, rich singing voice. She loved the Lord and worshipped Him in song.
Anna is survived by her mother, Ruth Hartline; father, Julian Capps; three loving sisters, Barbara “Susanne” Robinson, Tami Marie Burke, and Jami Hartline Hatem; former husband, James Pensyl; and the children she adored, Rosanna Marie Pensyl, Christina Ruth Pensyl, and Thomas “Tommy” Wesley Pensyl.
Anna was preceded in death by her youngest son, John “Johnny” Calvin Pensyl.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, November 10th, at Peace Church, 1777 W. Chatham St., Cary, NC 27513, followed by a reception. Flowers may be delivered to the church. Interment will take place at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, NC.
